Privacy policy

Last updated: May 2026

This policy explains what data ScamChecker.online collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site.

Who we are

ScamChecker.online ("we," "us") is an independent research and education website about online scams. You can reach us at contact@scamchecker.online.

What we collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names, addresses, or payment details. The data involved in your visit comes from two third-party services we use:

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to put in your message. We use it only to reply and to act on your report, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. This site uses them through the two Google services above:

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not stop you from reading the site.

Google AdSense and advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertising. As a third-party vendor, Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits here and elsewhere on the internet.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics sets cookies to help us measure site usage. You can prevent Google Analytics from using your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Google's own privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy.

Visitors in the EU, UK, and similar regions

If you are in a region with consent requirements for cookies (such as the EU or UK), you will be shown a consent prompt before non-essential cookies, including advertising and analytics cookies, are set. You can accept, decline, or adjust your choices, and you can change them later through your browser settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you, or to object to certain processing. Because we hold very little personal data directly (essentially only emails you send us), most ad- and analytics-related data is controlled by Google. To exercise rights over that data, use the Google links above. To reach us about an email you sent, contact contact@scamchecker.online.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or the services we use, we will update this page and its "last updated" date. If we ever add a service beyond Google Analytics and Google AdSense, we will disclose it here.
